Khaki Labdanum

Labdanum resin dried on the underside of a Cistus shrub in August heat. Part leather, part ancient.

Notes: Sun-dried labdanum, dried grass, warm mineral, hay, trace honey, thyme

A warmer, more herbal interpretation of labdanum than the standard amber note. Use at 6–14% in Mediterranean, herbal-oriental, or sun-warm structures. Strong performance in naturalistic formulas. Pairs with vetiver, lavender, and immortelle; contrasts interestingly with cold or marine accords.
